Dear Fellow,

On behalf of the local organizing committee I am pleased to invite you to attend the 16th European Tissue Repair Society Annual meeting which will take place in Pisa, Italy - September 13-16 2006. The historic city of Pisa, home of Galileo Galilei, is located in the beautiful region of Tuscany at a close distance to wonderful scenery like the cities of Florence, Lucca and Siena and the Chianti-shire. Travelling to Pisa is easy either by plane, train or car. The theme of the conference will be “Innovation in tissue repair: from the lab to the patient”.

The meeting will be preceded by a one-day event organized by ETRS which will address all the aspects regarding “How to become a wound healer”. Within the ETRS scientific programme, delegates will be able to explore different topics in a wide range of educational events, from plenary sessions to workshops and satellite symposia. There will be several sessions of submitted presentations which will allow young investigators to present their data and to participate in the ETRS awards contest.

Social events included in the registration fee are a welcome reception on Wednesday and a special evening and gala dinner including entertainment on Friday.
