13th ANNUAL MEETING - AMSTERDAM

Third Announcement:

European
Tissue Repair
Society

21-23 September 2003
13th Annual Meeting

Amsterdam

Rode Kruis - ziekenhuis

The annual meeting of the European Tissue Repair Society has become a spearhead for many clinical and basic scientists in the field of wound healing. Since the Foundation of the society in 1988, the average attendance has increased steadily. Also the joint meetings with the Wound Healing Society have been very successful.

The 2003 meeting will be held from 21-23 September in 'De Meervaart' in Amsterdam. Next to an attractive programme with lectures by key specialists in wound repair, there will be ample opportunity for young scientists to present their work to this international forum.

I hardly need to introduce Amsterdam to you: the many historic sites, the nice atmosphere of the innercity with the canals, specialised shops and art museums are known to many of you. Please contact us by e-mail to receive the detailed information and call for abstracts!

I welcome you most heartily to Amsterdam in September 2003.

The preliminary programme is reproduced here for your information. Updates and any further information will be made available instantaneously on our congress website http://www.congrex.nl/etrs2003

Aim of the Congress

The annual meeting provides a forum for wound healing professionals, both from the basic sciences and medical specialists/research nurses, to present the latest findings in this area and to exchange ideas with colleagues from the whole of Europe and even the world.

The scientific programme contains plenary lectures by experts in the many different fields of tissue repair; teaching sessions, which are specifically meant for the starting researchers in the field; and presentations by delegates on the basis of a submitted abstract. Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to present their work on a scientific poster. In this way all participants can present their work to their critical and enthusiastic colleagues from the whole of Europe.

An extensive selection of the abstracts will be published in Wound Repair and Regeneration. This journal has received a high ranking on the Citation Index list, and is now among the five highest-ranked journals int he dermatalogical research area.

During the Conference the Yound Investigator Award will be presented for the best presentation by a young investigator. Poster prizes will also be awarded.

Exhibition

Industry will also pariticipate in the meeting in a commercial exhibition, showing the lastest innovatirve products in the dynamic field of tissue repair.

During and around the Conference programme there will be ample opportunity to visit the exhibition, view the posters, discuss with fellow scientists and specialists and of course experience the special atmosphere of Amsterdam, with it ancient inner city, canals and canal boats and the many art museums.
