Focus meeting
The first Scar Focus meeting Montpellier, France (March 2006), organised by Luc Téot, was advertised both in the ETRS Bulletin and on the ETRS website. We are awaiting abstracts to publish in the next edition of the Bulletin. Unlike other focus meetings this was also under the auspices of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies, the French Wound Healing Society, the French Dermatology Society and the Centre National de la Reserche Scientifique.

ETRS Annual Meetings
Stuttgart, Germany, 15–17 September 2005, held in conjunction with the DGFW and EWMA
This meeting was publicised extensively by the ETRS Business Office, on our website and via mailing lists supplied to the office, and also at other wound repair organisation meetings in Europe and USA.

The ETRS had a stand at Stuttgart which was manned throughout the meeting by Christine and George Cherry. The financial outcome for the ETRS, after much followup of the organisers, proved to be very substantial particularly with the help of Dr Martin Koschnick. On 30 August 2006 the sum of £21,286.59 (32,000 Euros), our share of the meeting, was transferred to the Royal Bank of Scotland, ETRS account (see financial details).

Pisa, Italy, 13–16 September 2006
The Business Office has advertised this year’s meeting by printing and distributing the first and second announcements in the ETRS Bulletin, and in mailers as well as on the ETRS website. It was also advertised at wound healing meetings in Europe and the USA. The ETRS will have a stand at Pisa and details of the 17th Annual Meeting to be held in Southampton, 26–28 September 2007, will be available on the stand.

ETRS website (www.etrs.org)
The website continues to be very popular with approximately 22% increase in traffic from 2005 to 2006. See attached details. Direct communication between the Board members and the website director is easy to do by contacting Sarah Gay at 3.E Media (office@3emedia.co.uk).

Any direct communications with Sarah should be copied to the Business Office for circulation to the Board members.

Wound Repair and Regeneration
The administration and payment to Blackwell Publishing in USA for copies of Wound Repair and Regeneration continues to function in a more orderly manner though there have been some minor glitches with a few of our members not receiving the journal. The amount paid to the publisher for ETRS members for the journal last year was $8,030.00 (£4,448.89)
