SIXTEENTH ANNUAL MEETING
13–16 September 2006

ETRS member
On behalf of the local Organizing Committee I am pleased to invite
you to attend the European Tissue Repair Society Annual Meeting
which will take place in Pisa, Italy, 13–16 September 2006.
The historic city of Pisa, home of Galileo Galilei, is located in
the beautiful region of Tuscany at a close distance to wonderful
sceneries like the cities of Florence, Lucca and Siena and the Chianti-shire.
Travelling to Pisa is easy either by plane, train or car.
The theme of the conference will be ‘Innovation in tissue
repair: from the lab to the patient’. The meeting will be
preceded by a one-day event organized by ETRS which will address
all the aspects regarding ‘How to become a wound healer’.
Within the ETRS scientific programme delegates will be able to explore
different topics in a wide range of educational events, from plenary
sessions to workshops and satellite symposia. There will be several
sessions of submitted presentations which will allow young investigators
to present their data and to participate in the ETRS awards contest.
These incentives include:
- Much
reduced (subsidised) registration with full attendance at all
social events including the Gala Dinner. (To prevent abuse, we
will require evidence that the individual is a registered student.)

Enhanced Young Investigator Awards and Poster Prizes to encourage
people to attend and present excellent work at the ETRS Annual
Meeting. Details of these are as follows: ETRS Young Investigator
Awards – the ETRS would provide ten Young Investigator Bursaries
and one Young Investigator Award, each worth 500 Euros, for the
2006 Pisa annual meeting.

As far as social events are concerned, the registration fee includes
a Welcome Reception on Wednesday, a Special Evening, and the Gala
Dinner including entertainment on Friday.

share knowledge and expertise in everything relevant to our speciality.
