Dear ETRS member,
2012 will be a busy and eventful year for our Society. We will hold the 22nd Annual ETRS Meeting in Athens, October 4-5, 2012. This two-day meeting will once again present the highlights of clinical and fundamental Tissue Repair Research in Europe. Dimitris Kletsas and his team will organize this meeting with support from the ETRS board.
Our annual meeting is shorter than usual since we also continue a long-standing three-year tradition and contribute to the annual meeting of our friends from the Wound Healing Society (WHS). This 6th Joint Meeting of the WHS & the ETRS, in conjunction with The Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) will be held in Atlanta, GA from April 19-22, 2012.
Further, like in previous years, we will be providing a session for the 22nd Conference of the European Wound Management Association (EWMA), taking place from May 23-25, 2012 in Vienna.
ETRS will also be present at the 4th Congress of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies (WUWHS2012), to be held in September 2-6, 2012 in Yokohama, Japan. Abstract submission will be open until January 17, 2012.
Finally, ETRS will be represented at the 3rd TERMIS World Congress, September 5-8, 2012 in Vienna, Austria.
I hope to see you at least in Athens and once again wish you a successful 2012!
Sincerely
Boris Hinz ETRS President |

The European Tissue Repair Society, a non-profit making organisation founded in 1988, aims to promote knowledge and interchange between scientists, healthcare professionals, industry and other individuals that have an interest in tissue repair of all organs. The Society has an annual meeting and a number of focus meetings each year concentrating on different aspects of tissue repair, ranging from basic science to clinical aspects of healing.
The improvement of tissue repair as well as prevention of injury will be major challenges in the 21st Century and the European Tissue Repair Society has as its continued objective to contribute to these challenges.
The benefits of membership include a reduction in the annual subscription price of the Society's journal 'Wound Repair and Regeneration', receiving the ETRS Bulletin which highlights the Society's activities as well as an annual certificate of membership. |
